Competition Teams
Drill Team
The Drill Team is composed of cadets who are particularly interested in the skills and precision developed by mastering the manual of arms and military drill in team competition. The Drill Team represents the unit in ceremonies, parades, and drill competition with other NJROTC Units. Team members are expected to set the highest standards of grooming, military bearing, performance, and self-discipline. There are several types of Drill Teams: UnArmed Platoon, Armed Platoon, UnArmed Exhibition Platoon, Armed Exhibition Platoons, UnArmed and Armed Squads.
Color Guard
NJROTC Color Guards present America’s national colors and Navy flags proudly and with great precision at parades, ceremonies, school assemblies, sporting events and other patriotic occasions. A competition Color Guard represents the Unit in competition against other schools at JROTC drill and field meets.
Air Rifle Team
The Air Rifle Team is composed of selected Cadets who have marksmanship skills. Team members participate against other JROTC Unit teams in local, regional, and national competitions.
Athletic Team.
The NJROTC Athletic Team is made up of those Cadets who are physically fit, who would like to improve their physical capabilities, and who would like to represent the Unit in athletic competition.
Orienteering Team
The NJROTC Orienteering Team is composed of cadets interested in representing the unit in competition against other JROTC units in land navigation and compass reading.
Academic Team.
The Academic team consist of Cadets that have an high academic aptitude. Team members will compete with other schools in regards to knowledge in areas of NJROTC, Naval and US History, Entertainment, Sports and Current Affairs.
STEM Team
Participating in cyber security, Robotics and learn to fly drones.
