Homecoming Candidates 2021

This year the Class of 2022 has nominated the following Thomson High School Seniors to be a part of this year's Homecoming Court.   

Voting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29-Friday, Oct.1, at 1:30 p.m.  All Thomson High School students are eligible to vote.  Voting instructions will be emailed to students at their school email address. 

The 2021 Thomson High School Homecoming Queen will be crowned during the halftime ceremony Friday, Oct. 1, at the Thomson High School vs. ARC football game at the historic Brickyard.

 

 

Maura Jae Adams is the daughter of Lisa and Larry Adams of Thomson.  Maura is currently a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Farmers of America and serves as a Senior Adopter.  She is also a member of the Lady Dogs Softball team.  Outside of school Maura volunteers at her church’s Vacation Bible School and collects items for Toys for Tots. She also works part-time at Chick-Fil-A. Maura is a member of Thomson First United Methodist Church where she participates in the youth group. Her future plans are to attend Agnes Scott University in the fall to play softball.  She intends to major in biology in hopes of one day becoming a veterinarian.

Sa’myia Nishe’ Ballard is the daughter of Shawanda Ballard and Deyonta Wilson of Thomson. Sa’myia is a member of the THS Beta Club and Lady Dogs Track and Field team.  She is also a member of Mount Aldred CME Church. Next year Sa’myia plans to attend Georgia State University in hopes of one day becoming a pediatrician. 

She is escorted by her father, Deyonta Wilson.

E’Lexsiona Re’Jhourdyn Boyd is the daughter of Kenna Bradshaw and Eddie Boyd of Dearing. E’Lexsiona is a member of the SkillsUSA Club and serves as a Senior Adopter.  She is also a captain of the cheerleading squad and a member of the Basketball Dance team.  This year E’Lexsiona is participating in the Youth Leadership McDuffie program.  She attends the United House of Prayer for All People.  Next year, she would like to attend Georgia Southern University in hopes of one day becoming a nurse.

Kenyarie Sharne’ Crockett is the daughter of Kenneth and Shantell Crockett of Thomson. Kenyarie is currently a member of the Beta Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In addition, she serves as a THS Senior Adopter.  Kenyarie is a member of the Lady Dogs Softball team where she plays centerfield. This year she is also participating in the Youth Leadership McDuffie program sponsored by the Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce. In addition to her Beta Club responsibilities at THS, Kenyarie also assists with the Junior Beta Club at Norris Elementary.  Her plans next year include playing softball at South Carolina State, while studying to become a nurse.  Her long-term goal is to become a nurse anesthetist. Kenyarie is a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where she also participates in the youth ministry program.

She is escorted by her father, Kenneth Crockett.

Amaiyah Brianna Evans is the daughter of Quenswella Evans of Thomson.  She is a member of the THS Beta Club, as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Amaiyah also plays Basketball, is a Cheerleader and is a member of the Cross Country, Track, and Dance teams.

In the fall Amaiyah plans to attend Georgia State University and major in acting.  She is a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.

She is escorted by her mother, Quenswella Evans.

Tybee Armon Ivey is the daughter of Tanae Bell and Taurus Ivey of Dearing.  Tybee is a member of the Beta Club and the SkillsUSA Club at Thomson High School.  She is also a member of the Bulldog Brigade Auxiliary.  Outside of school Tybee has been a Girl Scout and is a part of the Majestic Beauty Mentoring Program.  Tybee is a member of Springfield Baptist Church.  She hopes to attend Valdosta State University in the fall and study to become a nurse.

Tybee is escorted by her father, Taurus Ivey.

Jadah Ayanna Johnson is the daughter of Marsay Clark and Adrian Johnson of Thomson.  She is a member of the Beta Club, as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  Jadah is also a member of the Cheerleading Squad, Basketball Dance team and Track team.  Her future plans are to study nursing at Georgia State University.  Jadah attends Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  

She is escorted by her father, Adrian Johnson.

Cambriea Tiarra Little is the daughter of Candrice and Andre Romer of Thomson.  She is a member of the Health Occupations Student Association and serves as a Senior Adopter. Cambriea is a member of the Varsity Cheerleading Squad and was selected to be a member of the Team Georgia Border Bowl Cheerleading Squad. She has received numerous other cheerleading awards and recognitions including squad captain, All-American Cheerleader, the Letha Mae Bentley-Dunn Cheerleading Scholarship and the Cheerleading Leadership Award. She is currently ranked in the Top 10 of her graduating class and has received recognition as a African-American Scholar. Cambriea also has received the University of Georgia Certificate of Merit. She plans to attend Georgia State University next year.  Her career goal is to become a neonatal nurse. 

She is escorted by her father, Andre Romer.

Kayla Marie Reynolds is the daughter of Bronda and Marcus Reynolds of Thomson.  She is a member of the THS Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Health Occupations Student Association and serves as a Senior Adopter.  Kayla is a member of the Lady Dogs Softball team, as well as the Basketball and Track teams.  She also serves as one of the school’s student athletic trainers.  This year she is participating in the Youth Leadership McDuffie program sponsored by the Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce. Outside of school, Kayla attends Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where she serves as a junior usher and is a part of the media ministry. She also plays on the travel softball team, the CSRA Yard Dogs.  Kayla is considering attending Clark Atlanta University next year.  She hopes to one day be a travel nurse.

Arianna Marie Stuart is the daughter of LaDonna Brown and Raschid Stuart of Thomson.  She is a member of the Thomson High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes and SkillsUSA.  Arianna also serves as a Senior Adopter and is participating in the Thomson-McDuffie County Chamber of Commerce’s Youth Leadership McDuffie program. She is a Cheerleading Captain, member of the Basketball Dance Team and Track Team. She has been named an All-American Cheerleader and was selected to cheer for Team Georgia in this year’s Border Bowl. Arianna is a member of Springfield Baptist Church, where she is also a member of the praise dance team and choir.  At this time, Arianna is undecided which college she would like to attend, but plans to major in exercise science and kinesiology.
