Welcome to Thomson High School!

Greetings Bulldogs,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. We are glad that you are joining us as we embark on a new school year at Thomson High School. To the Class of 2025: welcome to the family! We look forward to watching you grow both academically and personally over the next four years.

After the last year or so functioning in a somewhat virtual setting, we are excited to return full-time to  in-person instruction in the building. Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to implement necessary measures as established by the McDuffie County School System. This includes the requirement for all students to wear masks both in classrooms and on the buses, social distance, and regularly hand wash/sanitize.  All visitors to our campus will also be required to wear masks. We will continue to monitor our local statistics and implement appropriate measures as our Superintendent determines are needed to ensure that our staff and students’ safety and well-being are prioritized.

This year we will renew our commitment to excellence in all that we do, as we seek to provide instruction daily with the expectation that all students will be successful. We will provide students with opportunities to address academic deficiencies, to build math and literacy skills, to recover missing credit, to be college or workforce prepared, and to have the opportunity to participate in advanced academic classes. 

I am excited about all that this school year has to offer and look forward to working together to ensure that our students are provided with the best educational experience possible to be critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and successful in their endeavors after high school.
