The imparfait - this tense is used to describe what things were like.
ADD THESE NOTES TO YOUR NOTEBOOK
To tell what things were like or what used to happen repeatedly in the past, you use the imparfait. To form the imparfait, drop the -ons ending from the present-tense nous form and add the following endings
parler finir vendre
je parlais finissais vendais
tu parlais finissais vendais
il/elle/on parlait finissait vendait
nous parlions finissions vendions
ils/ells parlaient finissaient vendaient
All verbs are regular in the imparfait except être, which uses ét- as the imperfect stem.
j'étais, tu étais, il/elle/on était, nous étions, vous étiez, ils/ells étaient

Remember that a reflexive verb is a verb in which the subject both performs the action and receives the action of the verb.

Bonjour! I hope that you are making progress with modules 1,2,and 3 of the virtual learning lessons. When you have completed these, begin Module 4 Les défis Mondiaux.
The vocabulary is être malade, chez le médecin, and accident et urgences. You will learn how to discuss general health and explain a minor illness. You will also learn how to use your second past tense, the imparfait.
Be sure to use all resources. Look at vocabulary lists and use the resources on the right to help with formation of the imparfait, as well as practice using this tense.

Do Google search for Learn French with Alexa. There will be a number of lessons available that you can watch. Each lesson lasts about 15 minutes. Some of these will be review for you and some might be new. Each of these lessons will provide the opportunity for listening and speaking practice. Watch one or two or these each day.
Make a list of the titles of the lessons you watch and I will take this up when we return to school.
