Promotion/Retention Policy

 

Promotion Requirements

 

a. To be promoted from the ninth to the 10th grade a student must:

i. have earned a total of five Carnegie units, three of which must be in core academics.

 

b. To be promoted from the 10th to the 11th grade a student must:

i. have passed both semesters of Ninth Grade Literature & Composition

ii. have earned a total of 11 Carnegie units, six of which must be in core academics.

 

c. To be promoted from the 11th to the 12th grade a student must:

i. have passed both semesters of Ninth Grade Literature & Composition and both semesters of 10th Grade Literature & Composition

ii. have earned a total of 19 Carnegie units, 10 of which must be in core academics
