Grade Point Average/Class Rank

Class Rank and Grade Point Average

Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, all course grades, except for math support and basic reading courses, will be used to determine a student’s cumulative weighted Grade Point Average. Individual course grades on the transcript are unweighted. Weighted grades are only used in the calculation of the cumulative weighted grade point average. An official class rank is determined at the end of each semester.

All courses are weighted at 1.00 with the exception of Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment classes (weighted 1.05) and Accelerated, Advanced, Honors, and Calculus classes (weighted 1.02).

If you have questions concerning grade point averages or class ranking, please contact the Guidance Department.
