I am Teresa Cox, and I am confident this will be a fantastic year!  I continue to thirst for knowledge and strive to instill that in my students.

This school year will mark my ninth year teaching at THS and my twenty-third year as an educator. I hold a MA in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, a BS in Education from Oral Robert’s University, and an Associate of Arts in Business from Kansas State University. In addition, I hold an Gifted Endorsement through the State of Georgia and an Advanced Placement English Language and Composition from Augusta University. I am also the Law of Life Coordinator for THS.

I will instruct 10th English Language and Composition, 11th English Language and Composition, and Honors 11th English Language and Composition this year.  I love reading, writing and digging deeper into content.  Together we will work through the curriculum this school year.

I am available for tutoring after school starting at 3:10 pm or by appointment if you have a question or need additional help or time to complete an assignment.  I will share Google Classroom codes and Class Remind codes with students and encourage parents to sign up for both.  If you have a question, please email me anytime, and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Parents IMPORTANT NOTE:  I do not allow cell phones to be visible, heard, or out for use for any reason in my classroom. Cell phones have become a distraction that hinders the learning of our students at THS. If you have an emergency and you need to contact your students during school hours, please contact the main number and they will call into my classroom for your student.  If your student has an emergency during class I will certainly let administration know and they will be able to contact you through the office or guidance.

Violations of this policy will receive disciplinary action.
