The THS RoboDogs were awarded the Rookie Inspiration Award at a district robotics competition held March 29-31 in Alpharetta. The award is sponsored by National Instruments and celebrates a rookie team's outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering and engineers.
This is the first year THS has had a Robotics Club and members have learned valuable communication, problem solving and time management skills in addition to building and programming a robot under the direction of Mr. Daniel Burnside. Team members are Tyler Weeks, Branden Reese, Roger Basham, Ethan Basham, Nathan Brassell, Darby Verner, Justin Whitehead, Owen DeJong and Alivia Reese.
