Due to the potential of dangerous weather associated with Hurricane Ian, the McDuffie County School System will be closed on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022. Based on the latest report from the National Weather Service, wind gusts and the potential for flash flooding are both expected to exceed levels deemed safe for transport of our students. We will not require students to make up this school day, because the closure is the result of a weather event. The safety of our staff and students continues to be our top priority.
