Enjoy summer produce all winter long by having it canned at the Thomson High School FFA Cannery located at 802 Whiteoak Road! The Cannery opens Tuesday, May 30 and will accept produce from 7:30-11:30 a.m. to be shelled, blanched and/or canned.
Common items to have canned include tomatoes, peas, beans, apples, peaches and pears. Other items to consider canning are juices, spaghetti sauces (no meat), soups (no meat), salsa, applesauce and pie fillings! The cost is $0.75 per quart sized can and $0.20 per pound for shelling.
The Cannery will also be open on the following dates this summer:

July 6
July 17
July 19-21
