Enjoy summer produce all winter long by having it canned at the Thomson High School FFA Cannery located at 802 Whiteoak Road! The Cannery opens Monday, June 17, and will accept produce from 7:30-11:30 a.m. to be shelled, blanched and/or canned.
Common items to have canned include tomatoes, peas, beans, apples, peaches and pears. Other items to consider canning are juices, spaghetti sauces (no meat), soups (no meat), salsa, applesauce and pie fillings!
The Cannery will be open on the following dates this summer:
June 17-21
July 10-12
July 18-19
July 22-26
