AP Microeconomics

Description:

Economics is required for graduation and is a one-semester course that studies the way society provides for the needs and wants of its people. Topics to be covered will include scarcity, production, unemployment, inflation, international trade, the interaction of business and labor, and the effects of government spending and taxes. In addition to these topics, students will learn personal economic skills that will assist them in making responsible economic decisions.

AP Economics is a semester-long course that incorporates the EOC Economics Standards with the AP College Board Curriculum. During the semester the course focuses primarily on Microeconomics. However, the entire EOC Standards are taught in order for students to be prepared for the EOC test and to earn the one-semester graduation credit requirement.
