My name is Billy Marchman, and I am currently a physical education, weight training, and health teacher at Thomson-McDuffie Middle School. I am excited to serve as Thomson High School’s Head Baseball Coach and Varsity Running Backs Coach for the 2025–2026 school year.
I am a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in K–12 Health and Physical Education. I later obtained my master’s degree in Foundations of Education from Troy University. I am also certified in driver education safety and mathematics for grades 4–8.
I bring 22 years of teaching experience, having served 20 years in the Burke County Public School System and two years in the Emanuel County Public School System.
My wife of 20 years is employed by the McDuffie County Board of Education. We have two sons: one who is a 2025 graduate of Swainsboro High School and currently plays college baseball at South Georgia State College, and another who is an eighth grade student at Thomson-McDuffie Middle School.
My family and I are very excited to become part of this community and look forward to working with its outstanding students, staff, and families as we continue to grow together.
