Greetings from the Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Department at Thomson High School. My name is Steve Rhodes, and as CTAE Director, I welcome you to explore our CTAE teachers’ web pages and the many opportunities available in CTAE at Thomson High School. We are fortunate to have 24 pathways for students to explore, grow, and learn. Our overall goal is to have students prepared for jobs of the future—ensuring they are well prepared for college, careers, and life.
The purpose of the CTAE Program is to provide an on-going partnership between education and business/industry to prepare the students of McDuffie County Schools with the skills necessary to meet world-class standards, successfully continue life-long learning, and enter the marketplace as productive citizens.
After leaving high school, students may continue future training at colleges, universities, and technical schools. In addition, several of the CTAE courses are articulated with post-secondary technical colleges.
