Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Thomson High School!  As we say goodbye to the Class of 2024, we are eager to welcome the members of the Class of 2028 to our campus. We are dedicated to preparing students for graduation and for a successful life beyond the bricks, beyond the bricks of Thomson High School, beyond the bricks of the Brickyard, beyond circumstances, and beyond expectations to a prepared life filled with collegiate and career opportunities.

We prepare our students for life beyond high school through our core academics, and our academic pathways, which feature Advanced Placement classes, and dual enrollment classes through which students can earn college credit and high school credit at the same time. We guide students through CTAE pathways in construction, agriculture, education, welding, automotive service, construction, computer technology, NJROTC, engineering, healthcare science, or business, and prepare them for competitions in which they showcase their job-ready skills. We also prepare students for life beyond high school through athletics, band, music, drama, art, and other extracurricular activities and clubs that also play a crucial role in this preparation.

We are also dedicated to celebrating the success of our students, faculty, and staff through the Bulldog Way, our positive behavior initiative. The Bulldog Way gives us the opportunity to honor our students, teachers, and staff for their contributions to a positive learning environment and to create and sustain an engaging learning community for our students, faculty, and staff.

In order to provide the most conducive environment for student success, it is increasingly important for parents and stakeholders to have ongoing dialogues with teachers and administrators. Our lines of communication are always open and we encourage you to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns about your students’ education in particular, or school experience in general. Please let us know what we can do to help your students and please support us as we challenge them to open their minds, expand their horizons, and deepen their knowledge in preparation for life beyond high school.

Please follow THS on Facebook for regular updates. Information is also readily available on our school website. We are looking forward to having an outstanding year!

Sincerely,

Dr. Sonya Strong
Principal

THS Yearbook Deadlines

The deadline for yearbook senior ads has been extended until Friday, Nov. 15. We understand the hurricane has impacted everyone. If you cannot pay in full, you may make a down payment and make payments between now and April 1. Any outstanding balance after April 1 will become a student debt.
Also, don't forget yearbooks are on sale! Through Dec. 31, you can order a 2024-2025 THS Archive for only $60. The price will increase to $75 on Jan. 1. Order your copy early for the best price! Go to yearbookforever.com to place your order. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Burnside.

Letter Jacket Orders

3RD ASCENT, our official letter jacket and class ring partner, will be at Thomson High School, on Dec. 4 during all lunches, and will walk students through the easy ordering process. Students should bring their payments and any letters or patches you may have if ordering a jacket. Also, they must have the order form signed by their coach(es) before their orders will be accepted.

More information is available at www.3rdascent.com or you can also call their office at 770-594-8155 with any questions.

Order forms will be available for pick up in the Main Office later today. Students should only visit the office during lunch or before/after school to pick them up, though.
