set a route for this year's homecoming Court would like to start by congratulating all of my fellow members of this year's homecoming Court each and everyone of you also you shut up to the senior class of 2021 for nominating me as one of the teen girls running for homecoming queen this year we all know that this year has not been easy for us by any means and it's actually been quite a trainer when it comes to certain things however one thing that I find peace in is knowing that no matter how hard things get high school hours called you crazy most of my elementary-middle school career hours very self-conscious in the victim of bullying pretty frequently and there's nothing else to it I also learned that a little bit of kindness can go a long way during High School I realize that not everyone has to be box in the social norms such as the typical job a nerd stereotype as a person started to really understand that I can be comfortable with who I was as a person I take pride in knowing that most people who know me would describe me as Zircon tarded reasons is because I know how it feels like to want to be on the receiving end of a compliment as I think most people do as a whole I feel so kindness is something that the world needs more of and sometimes we're hesitant to give it the world tells us that if we're kind were perceived as soft or weak when that couldn't be further from the truth it takes a certain type of strength to be able to extend kindness when you yourself have been hurt before it takes a certain type of selfishness. the way you perceive the world for so long it takes a certain type of courage to be able to say the cycle of hate stops here and choose kindness over the oh so prevalent negativity the beautiful thing is that each and every person place on this Earth possesses these qualities stuff to get out of your own way trying to find a sometimes stop telling yourself that you've done too much wrong to start being kind now stop telling yourself that the past defines your future stop having a selfish mindset that you're going to win this game of survival it is no matter who you hurt along the way rather I challenge you to think things like what if I was in that situation what if I was nice to do what if I help them what if I was kind of sad, choosing to acknowledge the beauty of others regardless of whether or not they can find it in themselves. There's so much more to you than what you were yesterday this moment right now is who you will become today
