Hello my name is Summer Grace Henning. I'm honestly when the candidates on this year's homecoming Court. Thank you to my senior class for like even giving me this opportunity to represent you I also want to thank Mrs. Tina Swann and the rest of the homecoming committee for guiding me through this entire process many people have their own definition of the phrase working hard Oxford dictionary says that working hard is defined as a great deal of effort and enduring having to work hard has been a constant in my life I've grown up my whole life trying to achieve what my twirling coach Becky Molan has always taught me. Her favorite words or phrases like you perform and work hard no matter what I'm doing I'm always giving 100% when I brought the softball hustle on and off the field working hard at my position listen to my coaches of making small adjustments until I get it right when I practice twirling I keep working hard and listening to my coaches until I have a certain skill down I've always smiling and pointing my toes just like when I perform perform and working I create a lot of muscle memory performing everything comes much easier for me so my hard work pays off from the time I was born I had to work hard just to stay alive I was born without a soft spot with let me be diagnosed by light coronal craniosynostosis at the age of 6 months only one and every 3 million children diagnosed with BCC and must have had has to have a corrective surgery if left untreated I could have gone blonde has seizures or even died at 9 months don't know what a nun our corrective skull surgery prior to the surgery I could not walk or talk and was very sick a few months after surgery I began walking and talking and my mama says I haven't slowed down since with a surgery being a matter of life or death. I don't always have to work harder to stay on track with kids my own age they also said I would always need to protect my head with this diagnosis my mom never thought I'd be able to play sports or do activities like kids my own age last year. there's in the world that working hard pays off and even though I learn to walk and talk a lot later in life I've had a pretty normal one so far being active has kept me from having a second surgery and it has made me stronger both mentally and physically was never possible see when I was younger but I worked hard and for the doctors wrong I had to fix my mom that I was going to be a normal child no matter how hard I had to work so no matter what the age working hard pays off and I'm living proof that it does to all the thsstudent remember hard work pays off when you work hard you're setting yourself up for a successful life and don't forget and the last ending Boat summer heading
