Guidance
Students are assigned a guidance counselor upon entering Thomson High School to assist in the development of a meaningful high school program, to explore interest and abilities, and to develop educational as well as personal growth. Guidance counselors will assist students to explore interests and abilities and to develop educational and career plans. Counselors provide thorough review of each student’s areas of strength and weakness as shown by test results, academic activities record, and teacher observations. |
Personal/Social

Each student has needs outside of the academic and occupational categories which require attention. In the counseling process he/she has the opportunity to realize his/her worth, his/her dignity as a human being and respectability as a unique individual.
